What is a Co-operative?

Co-operatives are unique social, cultural and economic bodies. They are driven by the member’s needs and values rather then the financial drive to earn a profit. Co-ops can be formed to provide services (housing co-ops), supplies (food co-ops), finance (credit unions), consumer goods (Mountain Equipment Co-op), community initiatives (community co-ops) and much more!
