How Does the Co-op Work

Anyone can become a member of the HCCC for an annual membership fee of $5.00. Those members who are 16 and older and who live in Haliburton County are the voting members. The board of directors, elected annually from the membership, meet once a month to deal with the business of the Co-op and consider new initiatives. Members are welcome to attend these meetings.

Projects supported by the Co-op:

  • are consistent with the Co-op's mandate
  • are run by individuals who have joined the Co-op
  • have at least one board member acting as a liason between the project committee and the Co-op board
